When you're looking at pressure washers there are several things you really want to look for...Peak vs. working pressure, fluid containers, gallons per minute, cord and hose lengths and type of electric motor. Peak pressure is what is measured when someone first squeezes the trigger of a pressure washer, somewhat like keeping your finger over the end of the hose and then releasing that pent up pressure. Unless you're going to keep squeezing the trigger, it's really not that important of a number. If you want to tell someone how much pressure the unit has when it is really working, you quote the working pressure and here you have 1800 PSI working pressure. The APW-5002 develops this by incorporating a cold forged steel pump and has a powerful 15 amp, induction motor, which is enough to remove all but the toughest of dirt. For the really tough dirt and stains, you need to add chemicals to the mix. Here, the APW-5002 includes two fluid containers. Why are fluid containers important? Because high water pressure alone isn't enough at times to remove oily film. By being able to add cleaning solvents to the water stream, you have the ability to have both a chemical and physical attack on the stains you're trying to remove. Another key number is GPM or gallons per minute. Some pressure washers reduce the water flow to increase the water pressure, just like sticking your finger in front of the hose. Sure the pressure is greater, but the amount of area you can clean is a lot less. The All Power APW-5002 provides 1.5 GPM which is normally enough for virtually any household chore. The APW-5002 includes a 35' cord with a Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor (GFCI) (most companies stop at 20') plus a 25' shielded hose. This means that you can clean 188 square feet of deck without moving the cord one time. This unit also includes an auto-shut off switch.
